On February 15th, our school had the privilege of hosting author Natalie Lorenzi, known for her captivating novels "Flying the Dragon" and "A Long Pitch Home".
With a background as an ESL teacher, Lorenzi's visit was a deeply personal and enriching experience for our students. Drawing inspiration from the stories of non-English speaking students, she seamlessly weaved her own life experiences into her narratives, having traveled to countries like Japan and Pakistan.
During her sessions, Lorenzi effortlessly transported our students into vibrant worlds filled with diverse cultures, games, currencies, and languages. Her engaging presentations not only entertained but also educated, offering invaluable insights into the lives of individuals from around the globe. Through her heartfelt storytelling, students gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the richness of cultural diversity.
Natalie Lorenzi's visit left an indelible mark on our school community, inspiring a newfound curiosity and respect for the world beyond our borders. Her passion for literature and cross-cultural understanding ignited a flame of learning that will continue to burn brightly in the hearts and minds of our students for years to come.
