Academics at KAA are centered around a curriculum of ambitious learning standards for all students Kindergarten through 12, establishing bilingual learning environments to develop and produce well-rounded educated citizens of the world.
- Students in the Elementary/Primary years are nurtured to establish inquiry based and conceptual learning skills and are encouraged to take responsibility for their early learning. King Abdullah Academy has been officially authorized to offer the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate. The IB World schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that King Abdullah Academy believes is important for our students.
- Students in the Middle Years Program (MYP), grades 6 through 10, are empowered and intellectually challenged to become active learners and internationally minded individuals who empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
- Students in the Diploma Program (DP), grades 11 - 12, are encouraged to develop into individuals who inquire into a wide range of topics and ideas drawing connections across academic disciplines. DP students are global problem solvers who explore the nature of knowledge through deep investigation, research, and reflection.
Our students come to embody the IB Learner Profile traits and graduate into individuals who are: reflective, knowledgeable, principled, balanced, open-minded, caring, inquirers, thinkers, excellent communicators, and risk-takers. We foster academic excellence in a caring, challenging, and supportive learning environment, where our students may achieve their highest potential.
