Primary Years Program
Our intercultural learning communities thrive on a student-centered approach within a collaborative and supportive environment that embodies a commitment to continuous learning and innovative practice. The Elementary School emphasizes hands-on experiences through inquiry and project-based learning for all our English and Arabic language learners. Our students are encouraged to nurture their natural curiosity by asking meaningful questions and discovering answers, strengthening their critical thinking skills, and cultivating intellectual virtues that lead to fair-minded thinking.
Our dedicated, highly competent teachers deliver a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based program with responsible action at its core. The transdisciplinary curriculum is aligned with National, State, and Global Standards in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arabic Language, and Islamic Studies. Students also participate in enrichment opportunities including Art, Computers, and Physical Education.
The Elementary school learning communities and facilities have been designed with our younger students in mind, providing a safe environment while maintaining an open and inviting feel. From our dedicated playground, technology incorporations, and challenging and balanced curriculum, to our classrooms specializing in materials for younger minds, our investment in the educational learning environment is clear.
King Abdullah Academy has been officially authorized to offer the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate.
